Add Listing button does not work

Hello,

a few days ago I replaced a Joomla script with Wordpress.

After the script installation we find that Open Realty add listing doesn't work anymore. Could it be related to the fact I deleted Joomla files in public_html directory? I didn't test it before so I cannot be certain if it was working.

Open Realty is installed in a separate subdirectory under public_html. Version 3.2.10.

I hope someone could point me to the right direction to fix this. Thanks.

best regards,

Andy

You may want to open a support ticket with Transparent Tech, or revert your changes if you believe something you changed or did caused this to stop working.

I work for someone else for this website, and they are hesitant to pay for the Transparent support. I believe the support ticket is only for the paying customer.

The problem is that I don't have proof whether it's working or not before the Wordpress install. Presumably it was working just fine. I did not changed anything inside the Open Realty directory.

Does Open Realty put any file in the public_html? If it is I might've moved it out by accident.

Maybe there is an error in the logs?

When doing an install and customizing the paths you specify where all files must be contained, such as public_html/open-realty/.

My installs don't have write permission in their parent folders so if there was an issue with OR trying to write out of its base file then there would be a problem.

Check your file permissions, maybe there has also been a group/user chown action carried out.

Can you explain what is chown action.....this could very well be the reason.

I haven't touched the backend for a year, the permissions and files should be intact. It was working fine before, as I recalled OpenRealty was pretty easy and fun to work with.

If it worked for a year and then stopped, that means something was changed. If you have not "touched anything" related to OR, that leaves your server (hosts often upgrade things that can break programs) and any other software you have installed.

As was suggested by propman, examining your server error_log may shed light on what the problem is.
