how do i add image to header html5

When I add an image tag to the header of my html5 template I get nothing. I've fooled around with different paths including

<img src = "images/logo.jpg">

<img src = "/images/logo.jpg">

<img src = "../images/logo.jpg">

<img src = "http://hearthandhomerealty.com/images/logo.jpg">;

I'm pretty sure I don't have to make it a path to the template but I'm really stuck. I haven't detected anything in the style sheet that would make the img invisible ... at least I don't think ... any hints?? Thank you!

Well, first off, there is nothing here (no logo.jpg)

Your image is here (a logo.png not .jpg)

http://hearthandhomerealty.com/template/lazuli/images/logo.png

so use this

<img src = "{template_url}/images/logo.png">

simply using your link did the trick. I did have the template switched back to the old, that's why you didn't see the original problem. My fault. However, I switched it back, added your link vs. my "collection" and voila! Thank you!
