Is it possible to build a new block section for next_prev.html or to use those values on another page?

I'm currently working on a new theme design that calls for polling the maximum number of results from a search -- so basically, I need to render {nextprev_listing_num_max} on a search result page. I had noticed that such attributes are called and defined from the next_prev template but if I edit any of the blocks in here, I may cause changes that aren't intended for this one case, where I just need to display max results. Is there a mechanism for me to define a new next_prev block that I can call from a search page template, and get this variable to display?

The {nextprev_listing_num_max} tag only works within the two next_prev template files.

See docs: http://docs.transparent-tech.com/open-realty/latest/nextprevtemplatetags.html

If you need something that works outside of the next_prev template file, you will need to create an add-on.
