Oauth2 login integration?

Has anyone tried implementing Oauth2 with Facebook/Twitter/Google+ etc?

It looks like maybe your post was cut-off before you could finish it. Is this an Open-Realty question, or an OAuth question in general?

There is not really enough context to determine what "implement" means and no details regarding what you are trying to accomplish. A lot more information would be necessary to answer your question if it involves Open-Realty.

Hi PIV Support.

Yes, lost the bottom of the message sorry.

By implement I was meaning integrating with OR member/user database.

This way users could login with Facebook account instead of creating a user on the OR website.

The website I have in mind only uses name and email addresses for the members so they can email notify of new listings.

This information would be accessible via OAuth.

Thoughts?

This is not presently a feature of OR. At this time it only uses OAuth for the twitter notification feature, but that is tied to a specific twitter account that you provide credentials for, and not any OR user accounts (reverse of what it sounds like you want to do).

I have not done this, but you could maybe create what you want using the OR user API, but I would suspect creating "users" is going to be problematic from a security standpoint if you try to go beyond Members, and then there is the issue of moderation to be considered if you run your site that way.

Thank you.

I wouldn't use it for anything else other than Member registration.

Agents and admin would be managed by me via the existing /admin portal.

Yes moderation of comments on blogs, and email-a-friend feature could be problems.

I'm going to leave it for now, other more pressing items. Cheers.
