Refine Search Button

OR Version: 3.2.5

After I do a search, I click the "Refine Search" button the page returns to the search page but all the parameters have been dumped. Essentially, starting a new search. Is this the expected behavior of this button?

No, it is not, what link is being generated for the refine button?

I tired it in both Chrome and FF with no success. Perhaps, the button should be labeled as "New Search" instead of "Refine Search"; It is a little misleading.

Thanks for the clarification!

The link that the Refine Search Button generates is this:

index.php?action=search_step_2&Seller_or[]=Trust&pclass[]=

Strangely enough it is sending the correct call back to the search page. However, none of my search criteria repopulate. The Browse All Listings (#) link at the top of the search page is counting the results of the search when I press refine.

I have tested using google crome.

Go into OR's Site Config. Is there any red text displaying near the top if the page? If so, what?

I did not see any red text on any of my OR Config Pages...

I am using a custom template. If I switch to the html5 demo template, the refine button works as it is expected. If I use my custom template or lazuli default template It will not repopulate the criteria.

Any Ideas?

Contact your template developer. You have some problem with your custom search_page_default.html template.

What you can do in the meantime is remove or rename the copy that exists in your custom template folder, which will allow OR to fall-back to use the default version.

The problem still persists. I noticed on the html5 template that if I use the traditional search method it will not work. If I use the persistent collapsing quick search it works beautifully.

You can test this in the demo website for OR.
