RETS import limitation by vendor

Recently, we have combined 3 MLS's into one data base. Unfortunately, their import limit is a maximum of 5,000 at a time, and I suspect their are approximately 20,000 listings. Can I work around this?

If the vendor supports using an offset (and they definitely should if they are imposing a limit) TRETS will automatically use one.

Using an offset however is a less than desirable workaround and is considered a potential "dirty read" because data could change between two requests. If you are doing imports in the middle of the night the likelihood of data changing is reduced if not eliminated so this can work successfully.

Better RETS vendors who impose a limit of full lookups do not impose a limit on small lookups such as keyfield only lookups which is what TRETS uses by default. The vendor's concern is that users are doing full queries on all fields every time they connect which ties up their server and connection unnecessarily, TRETS does not do that and performs keyfield only queries.

if you need more info or assistance with this, you will want to open a TRETS support ticket.
