SEO-friendly urls with "&" character cause xml sitemap to break

The generate_sitemap action is nifty! I am running into an issue with the generated sitemap though - if a blog entry, listing or page has a "&" in its SEO-friendly url it will cause an error when you go to view the XML file:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed

And Google cannot read the xml sitemap file.

Can OR be adjust to automatically remove "&" symbols from the SEO urls?

Thanks!

Alane

Replace the & in your page title, with &

That doesn't really help things, the auto generated listing_seo ends up including &amp, which still breaks the xml.

Example:

Title: Test & name

SEOtitle: test-&amp-name (auto generated)

It breaks regardless of using a naked & or a &. Whatever is used to auto generate the seotitle would be better off just stripping the & sign out completely.

With a site that has 20 contributing agents it is not really possible to make sure they will not use the & symbol - just one single listing or blog article with an & in the seotitle is going to break your whole generated sitemap.
