Sold Listing in Search + Sold Text on listing page

2 Questions:

1. How can I change the 'sold' status text on the listing page from bold/black to bold/larger-font/red?

2. Is there a way to keep the sold listings active and have them display at the end of the non-sold listings in the search feature?

Thanks.

1 Edit the CSS file for yor custom template

2 listings always display unless they are set to be "inactive". and are arranged however you have your sorting setup for your search result page.

Here's how I did it; If it helps.

(This places an image overlay)

At file search_results_default, I use

<div class="SearchResultThumbContainer"> <a href="{link_to_listing}" class="ImageOverlay {listing_field_status_value}"></a>

<img src="{raw_image_thumb_1}" width="120px" height="100px" alt="{listing_title}" /></a></div>

CSS

.SearchResultThumbContainer{

position: relative;

}

a.ImageOverlay.Sold {

position: absolute;

width: 120px;

height: 100px;

left: 0px;

background-image: url('PATH TO IMAGE/images/sold.png');

____

Result is a transparent red lettered sold "sticker"

example: http://www.discountlandforsale.com/in...

}

I have been trying to implement this, however on the search result page only the thumbnails of sold properties link to the listing. All the active ones don't. Do I have to make some overlay images for the active / pending listings as well? I tried some changes in the html code, but I'm not too good at it and did not get it to work.
