trailing character " />

unfortunately I have a stray " /> showing up at the top left of my pages.

I've tried with a newly extracted fresh "main.html" and it remains.

I know there are many brackets ending on main.html but they all seem to be properly closed.

I am guilty of editing my main.html and must have left something open but thought a fresh main.html would solve that problem.

Has anyone noticed this or have I done something entirely uniquely wrong?

Is there another file (other than index.php) that would be the culprit?

thanks!

You have either introduced this into your template's 'main.html' file, or you have an add-on installed that is doing this.

Switch to use one of the example templates (lazuli or HTML5) and if this disappears, it's definitely in your 'main.html' file.

Thanks, I'll keep trying to find it, but wouldn't uploading a fresh newly extracted main.html removed it if that was the case? Because trying that did not remove it.

I've tried to re-install the script in another directory but of course that can't be done probably in the agreement I didn't read (bad girl) saying you can only install one of these.

Thanks so much for addressing my problem.

You can definitely move or reinstall the software, but you will need to reissue your license, see here:

Thanks. I'll have to start over or just not use this script, so disappointed, it's Beautiful and exactly what I need.

I just uploaded another brand new un-touched main.html and the character remains so that's not it. I haven't touched anything else except css.

Again, thanks for your help and if I do have to reinstall I'll have to add all those listings again.. drats.

Do you have any add-ons installed?

Did you switch to the HTML5 example template as suggested?

Hard to help you when you don't report back what the results of any proposed troubleshooting are. Rushing to re-install is likely premature..
